Cheryl Wallace, owner and lead captioner started Verbatim in 1983 as an independent contractor working in the Civil Litigation area eventually transitioning into Closed Captioning for live broadcast television and today offers remote real-time Captioning/CART (computer accessible real-time translation) services across North America for a variety of organizations, meeting groups, universities, and government entities.

We are dedicated to providing accessibility to all in our community and around the globe who have a hearing loss whether it be a hearing loss since birth or a latent hearing loss, anyone with auditory processing disorders including autism, anyone who has a first language that is not English or anyone who wishes to watch an event remotely on their device in a public place with the sound off!
